Z-Ro was born in South Park Houston, Texas, the U.S. He had a tough-time throughout his childhood as his mother died when he was just six and after that Z-Ro had to travel to different places in order to settle down. In the end, he settled in Missouri City located in Southwest Houston.
In his teenage Z-Ro didn’t have any job so like so many street boys he was forced to sell drugs and live a life of a street rat. He had a tough time leaving all that behind but he managed to do so and gave a chance to his musical passion which was freestyle singing.
Z-Ro got his inspiration for music by listening to the songs of Geto Boys, 2Pac, Street Military, K-Rino, and Klondike. Which helped him to start working hard for his goal leaving his street life behind. His talent of freestyle rapping was discovered when he went through a couple of recording studios for his demo. Later that CEO of a local label was impressed by his skills and signed him.
