Antoine McColister better known by his stage name Ace Hood was born on May 11, 1988, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He grew up in Deerfield Beach along with his cousin Ty Barton, Jr. He did his graduation from Deerfield Beach High School.
Hood was on the football team during school. Unfortunately, he had an injury in 10th grade that led him to pursue rapping since he will not be fit for playing football again. Therefore, he collaborated with a native group named Dollaz & Dealz and announced a single in 2006 under the moniker “M.O.E.”
